You can't Run

Things get tough.  Things go wrong.  Especially in the early stages of starting a business.  Pet sitting is seasonal.  People travel for the holidays.  Thanksgiving and Christmas will be your busiest times of the your business is established.  So what happens in February when there is little to no business on the the books.  What do you do when you can't afford to pay your i.c.'s and your mortgage in the same month?  What do you do when there is just barely enough business to keep the doors open?

It's simple.

Do the work.  You can't run from it.  It will always catch up to you.

As a small business owner using independent contractors as labor you have a unique advantage when times get tough.  You have a choice.  You can either keep farming out your work to i.c's and HOPE the phone rings with client request.  Or you can get in the streets, do the work and cover your expenses in slow times and live to fight another day.

You can't run from the work.
