Rover and Wag. How Can I Compete??????

You can't and you don't need to.  Rover.com and Wag are website based companies that are backed by millions of dollars.  They have based their business model on the assumption that pet care is a commodity. They spend millions on advertising and website infrastructure.

Here's the catch.  Anyone can be a Rover or Wag sitter.  Anyone.

The clients you want don't want just anyone caring for their pets.  They want a professional and personal relationship with the person they are giving access to their homes and lives.  They want someone to call when they have an issue and someone to handle that issue every time.  Your best clients are not concerned with price.  They are paying for Peace of Mind when it comes to their pets and homes which is invaluable.

Let Rover and Wag have all the price shoppers and "one offs" they want.  Though you will get your fair share of those people, they will not ultimately determine your success. Don't lower your price and don't sign up to be Rover or Wag sitter.  Be better.  Be a pro. You should strive to provide a personalized, value added service that Rover and Wag can't begin to offer.
