Good Dogs Run Together

This is one of the most important things to remember when hiring. Once you’ve found a good, reliable employee or independent contractor have them recruit other people. Good people run together. Its a fact of life and will hold true most  time. So once you’ve found one good one, get them to refer their friends. Trusting their judgement should be a pretty safe bet.

Have you ever heard the saying, “They are a butt head but their our butt head.”?

Even your’re best employees least desirable friend will be worth interviewing. And here is the other advantage of having good employees or i.c.’s recruit other people, everyone has skin in the game from the very beginning. What I mean is that your employees are connected socially and they will be less likely to make poor or irresponsible decisions. The more people you have a personal connection with the more likely you are to live up to certain standard. Follow the pack so to speak.

Now keep the ball rolling. If your “perfect” team member has 2 friends, then perhaps each one of those people has 1 to 3 friends and so on and so forth. Now you have a pipeline of employees that are already partially vetted.

Don’t use this as an excuse to cut corners on you’re on vetting system, background checks, and reference checks.  You owe that much to your client.
