A Profitable Pet Sitter tracks clients. Here is how to gather contact info.

It is the end of a holiday weekend for many folks. Of course, for us pet sitters, it’s a busy working weekend. Now we get to lay back and count our dollar, dollar bills, y’all! anybody get my Wyclef Jean - Sweetest Girl reference… nope, just me…ok… Maybe it was a successful holiday weekend or maybe you are looking to make the next long weekend even more profitable. Did you notice you got a few more calls or inquiries leading up to the holiday weekend? You did post on your Google Business Profile that you were open for MLK weekend right? We used to get lots of calls. Now we push our potential clients to create an account in our system. If you don’t yet have a system or you prefer to screen your clients before entering them (I can’t understand not getting as many folks into your system as possible but I know some sitters do limit.) then you likely get a lot of calls. This is how I keep track of calls. As soon as someone calls, ask their name. This way you can save it in your phone. If they call you, they have basically given you authority to call them back. While I answer any questions they have I also get my questions answered. What service do they need? Are they in my service area? If I don’t get this answered, I can’t help them. It’s ok to ask potential clients questions and get the answers you need. Print a google doc with this information repeated and keep it with you. You won’t remember to update it each night. This needs to be completed in real time. NAME ______________ # in phone___________ reason for call ___________ Notes ___________ Date time of first contact __________ date time responded ______ Date meet & greet scheduled _______ If you aren’t making 6 figures, you have time to do this.
